I wish! Biggest I go is the 890J. The Carrack looks pretty nice in that lineup though.

 

Never played in a while and so many pages to read through, which i will when i get a chance.

How is this game at the moment? i am updating it now but a big download is needed.

 

Arena Commander is a bit flaky at the moment... Server issues...

TL;DR version

• Gladiator is Flight Ready
• Gunner Seat Functionality in Free Flight for the Gladiator, the Super Hornet, and the Cutlass Black
• Sledge II game balancing
• Players can now solve issues where their characters get stuck by opening the console (~), typing in stuck, and hitting enter to respawn the character
• Pilots with lower score relative to the average contribute less to the REC pool
• Various bug fixes, including for the first of many client optimizations and assorted fixes for client crashes
• Updates to game server stuck states and fixed an issue where Matchmaking would match more clients into a game mode than the instance allows
• Fixed an issue where the game may crash when loading into a Multiplayer Game Mode

We've been told by Alexis how subs now get monthly REC - 11,000/month for centurions (enough to rent a Hornet), 16,000/month for imperators (enough for a SH).

The surprising thing is that this is BACKDATED to Feb 2014 (when I first subscribed)!
I'm on my 2nd year paying for 12months up front, so I just received 264,000 REC!

I would be jealous if there were ships that I wanted to try but haven't been available in free-flight recently...

...actual question, how do you "rent" things?

 

You spend your REC at the EA (Electronic Access) store.

EDIT:- This gives you 7 days access to your rented item (not a week, the days don't have to be consecutive, and you can play multiple sessions per day).

 

Thing is I have little to spend REC on. I can fly my own Super Hornet whenever I like, so unless I fancy taking a Tracker or Ghost out for a spin I'm all good. Things like the Gladius are sub ¤10k, which means I can afford them until the cows come home. In all likelihood, I'll probably spend REC on trialling weapons, but even then it's a bit pointless until balance is a bit more sorted.

Also got a 15% off coupon again for re-subbing. Oh dear. Might save it for the new corvette.

 

ISTR that some early subscribers will be able to fly Scythes for REC.
