What are the rest of your system specs?
This will help in suggesting an appropriate PSU.

    At moment

    As rock 890 mono
    Amd 960 cpu
    1tb WD hdd
    970 nvidia

The gpu at moment is a 550ti but I need a new psu as lost a cable that would allow the 970 to go in the system

    You can buy cables separately.
What PSU do you currently have? It may be good enough.

It's a Jeantech 500w but I am missing a cable to get the 970 working. So basically I am going to flip over to a Intel system. So gradually improve the components.

Hadn't really put an exact figure. Just wanted a source that was future proof for few years and had braided cables for management looks reasons.

BitFenix have the best sleeving I've seen from a mainstream manufacturer, good quality and robust. I normally sleeve my own stuff but I have used their cables in the past.

By the way, this is a braided cable:

The sleeve on it is braided.

I'd seen these and would really like to use them. Ideally, a PSU which you can plug these cables directly into. The Seasonic M12 that supermuchurios recommended (like most of the modular PSUs I've seen & worked with) looks like it has proprietary connectors for its cables.

Does anyone know of a solid PSU which has connectors suitable for the Bitfenix extension cables?

No PSU will allow the use of extension cables plugged directly into it, they all have male connectors at that end.

If you're prepared to pay the cost you could buy a modular PSU of your choice and then get someone to make up a set of sleeved cables for it. That way you get your choice of colours and materials. It won't be cheap for a quality job though.

Corsair do for particular PSU models but the quality is rubbish compared to Bit-Fenix.
