What's most frustrating is that I'm on a ~3mbit island of perhaps 20 houses in the middle of bandwidth-city.

The road hasn't been adopted by the council yet, as there's a narky lady at the end complaining about traffic calming measures (it's a close, ffs). In theory it's resolved now, but the road has yet to be adopted, and then no telling how long it is to join the rest of the broadband world.

I get ~500Kbps downloads in my flat... My old one, literally 800m away in Westminster (SW1) used to get over 10Mb... :waah:

Amputate at the T1 spinal level. It's the only cure.

Tried that, didn't work. Got a sore throat now too.

I had radishes yesterday and Mavis said I looked a bit peaky.

    Nice one.

    Yuk.
But that is out of jealousy as I can no longer eat such things.

Absolutely love my little car it's different, choppy, and cheap on petrol...

This car will probably get washed more then once every 7 months, unlike my focus

Also car related, had a £5 voucher for Morrisons and decided to buy some fancy sprays. It wasn't crazy dirty but I loved making it pristine and shiney. Not like my 99 corsa I didn't need to pull out polish for 2 hours to bring the paint up.

Sat by the window this evening, my sister & her boyfriend stopped and admired it a few random strangers stopped and admired it. felt good to have my elbow grease noticed :)

The black alloys also came up gorgeous with the products, drives like a dream and looks really nice. Very happy

A good night's sleep. The first in a while thanks to the election, a stupid-o'clock BF3 session and very early starts.

I had a clear out off old stuff from the shed and I've ended up with £500 to spend on my PC, I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Finally got around to cloning my old 830 128GB to my 850 PRO 512GB SSD that I won from samsung. The difference isn't too much for boot times but it's definitely there, shaved about a second off.

Then, moved my Skyrim installation from my 2TB WD HDD to the SSD. Load times are blazingly quick, about 3 seconds instead of the 10-15 seconds they used to be.

Gonna put the other one in another computer and put the Windows 10 preview on it to see what it's like.

Went for an interview 2.5 weeks ago, didn't get the position (not qualified) BUT the project manager who I interviewed with must have liked me as he wants me to meet with 2 other people for an IT support position instead. Wasn't my initial plans to go into support but down the road it can go into IT systems analysis and can still lead to project management, so bring on the interview on Wednesday. I'm just really hoping I can land it. Being unemployed has been stressing me soo much to the fact that I sometimes have trouble sleeping, I've had a few breakdowns after being turned down for positions that I interviewed well for, etc.
