Apparently the picture used in this news article is a dialog box :)
And Gareth's avatar is a basketball backboard.

My classic mini is a sport utility vehicle, an audi le mans car is a 'device' and my office (externally) is a shed.

It'll be interesting to see how accurate this thing is in maybe a year or two after people have had enough time to play around with it.

I was going to leave a comment questioning if it'd be able to read a message in a stenograph image but reading the comments it has enough problems reading real life.

Funny. I put everyone above's avatars in and I got "first against the wall when the revolution comes".

Curiously, a version of Wolfram Alpha that fell through a rift in the time-space continuum from 1000 years in the future describes the avatars as "A bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came." :D

If it's AI, is it learning AI? Will it get better over time, and is there a way to correct it - or will it always get pictures of graphics cards wrong?

I've just remembered, how does this differ to Google's approach? When you reverse image search it also attempts to describe the picture, it usually does quite a good job too. Putting in that graphics card got the wrong result, but it was fairly close, called it an "EVGA GTX 660". Similarly, putting in a picture of Loramentum brings up the description "wall mounted computer", pretty impressive if you ask me.
