I have tired everything to use the bios update on the AI suite and all I get is connecting to server.. 2 hours later still the same. This isn't a one off, been over a few months anytime I have tried. Any one care to shed some light on to why this might be?

They probably changed or closed the server location. There's quite a few hits on google with people having problems accessing it. Doesn't work for me either.

Ah so it's not just me then. I did at one point think it was my mobo playing up. Then changed boards and still the same.

At least that makes me feel a bit better.. Thanks dude.

If you google the board name then the 1st hit should be the Asus link to it. Click on Support, wait a while until the page fully loads then Driver and Tools and wait again eventually you should get access to the BIOS download.

I would advise downloading manually and updating via the BIOS, as per the previous post

I've tried that. Put the download in different folders and even on a usb stick. Then when it says load from location its gone. Yet when I go into the folder or on the usb its there. It's doing my head in.
I don't need a bios update for any reason. But it's just nice to be up to date.

It's something to do with the format of the USB stick I think. Make sure it's FAT32 or possibly FAT.

AFAIK you needed to give it a specific filename for flashback to work - that could be the reason.

Flashback is a life saver for when you have a new CPU but not the correct BIOS version installed. That being said for regular updates, use the built in EZ Flash utility within the BIOS itself rather than anything in Windows. It is usually located in Advanced mode, then the Tools tab. Or just Tools if it doesn't have an "Advanced Mode" option. USB Sticks will be fine formatted for Fat32, put it in before posting otherwise it may not show up.

Lads I think you have cracked it.. I formated but in NTFS.... Can't believe I completely forgot about that. Major blonde moment going on lol

It would explain why it's not showing up on the stick when I try to locate n in the update section.

    I'll try that later.

    Rep for that one boys.
