    Thanks again mate :)
Thats what im wanting, something that looks nice even when switched off, Im going to treat this desk like my motobikes, with lots of love & pampering lol

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Im using 2x 360 RADs for this build, they will be fitted to the brackets almost directly under the RES on both sides, Iv decided to move them away from the outer desk edges to help lower fan noise & give better options for dust control.
by doing so I had to add the channels shown in the earlier photos, to help move the hot air out the back of the desk.

    The Phobya G-Changer 360 RADs V.2 & brackets

As with all new RADs they needed a good clean, using the Blitz Pro kit that Mayhams kindly provided I had good results :)

Im using the i7-5820K for this build along with a Alphacool NexXxoS XP³ Light - Brass Black Chrome version,

Added some red to the block

The pumps "Alphacool VPP655" & GPU block "Alphacool NexXxoS GPX - ATI R9 295X2"
also planing to mod them slightly to the same red as the other components.

Now decided where im sticking the 2X pumps, sticking with the symmetrical plans iv placed them
in front of the center of both the RADs

Cut a hole in the bottom to help them get some air, if for any reason they sound loud I will block them again, but did this
on my last desk & they worked fine.

Padded the sides with hard foam to help reduce any vibrations

Adding 2x Phobya G1/4 water temp readers to measure the temps before & after the RADs/Components

Here you can see the removable raised platforms, RADs, Pumps & Temp sensors on place

Fitted the glass top using some chunky hinges, the glass is 5mm clear toughened,

To start with I had to make a template for the cutters

I now have the final fans needed for the RADs & desk,
    Silencio FP 120 (Black) RADs
    MegaFlow 200mm (Red LED) Desk
    Jetflo 120 (Red LED) Desk

Im going to be cutting holes in the base of the MB tray & instaling the 200mm fan directly underneath,
This serves 2 purposes, keep the MB cool & the main reason was to get positive air pressure in to the desk.

    In total I will be having 6/7x120mm & 1x200mm IN, 6x120mm OUT.
I will try get this done by the weekend and show you some pics, but for now heres some other bits iv been working on.

Hinges fitted, but will need some adjusting before painting..

Lifts up perfectly, resting flat against the angled shelf & speakers

In this update Iv done the final MDF primer & white primer coats on the whole of the desk,
Cut the MB tray & added a 200mm fan to the base of the desk

    MDF primer

    The standard PC case tray

3 big holes made in line with the fan that will be directly under the MB tray

    Cut for the 200mm fan

heres the desk after the full primer, still lots to do in preparation for the paint

Should have some photos of the final finish im looking in the next update, soon as this has been done the desk will be ready to come
inside the house for the internal components & modding to continue

I love how extreme this desk is. It's not some sublte construction trying to hide a nerds gigantic PC, no this is an altar at where you make sacrifices to the gaming Gods, and pray they won't put you in a team with noobs and flamers. Can't wait to see your internal work

there is only 1 possible problem i spotted: the motherboard tray
does the motherboard fit with the I/O panel?

I wanted to make the desk the main part of this project & not follow the norm,
love looking at it, even without the final touches & components

Thanks. yeah the backplate fits but wont probably use it

    Cheers, will do :)

Got my paints & been working on the smaller parts of the desk, wanted to double check the finish &
practice applying the paints before doing the bigger parts of the desk.

because of the deadly fumes in the basecoat & 2K/2pac clear, Im best doing it in 4 stages over the
space of 2 to 3 weeks.

im also short on space, so by painting the bottom sections & then letting them dry (harden) I can then
add the middle section back on top & paint that, same for the top section.

This is the box of paints, cant believe it cost me over £100 :O
should have stuck with vinyl, would have been less messy & a bit cheaper lol

Black Basecoat with thinners, 2K/2pac clear matte with hardener & thinners

this is the base & thinners to be mixed for the bottom coat/base

primed ready for painting, still needed cleaning down at this part

3 stages of basecoat black applied, still wet at this stage

while the basecoat was still tacky I applied the clear coat, because you cant sand the base & clear during any stages as it would alter the appearance of the finish,
the whole process has to be done within about 1hrs from start to finish with no room for
    errors :O

From wet to dry, the photos will show how the finish changes over day

stuck them back on the desk to see how it looks & try imagine the whole desk painted

out of everything iv done so far, this painting has been the hardest part, I hope the extra effort was worth it in the end :D

What do you all think to the colour so far?

Im happy for now, but really need to see it all done & with some red added

looks like everyone is going to win, or at least be very close :D

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

90% of the paintwork is now completed,
as with the last parts I painted, the top is black base with clear matte (2k)

one final sanding to sharpen the edges

A wipe down with some tac cloths before starting the 1st base

small amount of water sprayed all around the desk to keep any dust down

All the parts together, but not in the correct placed as the paint needs a couple of days/week to harden
should give you a good idea as to what it will look like when assembled
