I'm looking for some desktop speakers. Some other threads have recommended the Microlabs SOLO6c, however I think they are too big for me. My desk is not that large sothey will probably look out of place, and be too powerful for someone sitting less than two feet away. Budget up to £150. (Though I'm not a massive audiophile so if there is little difference between a £75 and £150 option, I will probably go with the £75.) Also volume control is a big plus, either via an easily accessible knob, or a remote. Any ideas what to get? Thanks in advance
Thanks for the reply. Very interesting post, though I don't think making speakers is quite for me. Let's just say that I'm more of a software guy than a hardware guy for a reason
Creative Gigaworks T40. Very good sound, no sub box, not huge. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/compu...2-0-pc-speakers-01992098-pdt.html#srcid=11026
The T40s look good. Certainly better than what I have now. Will a 2.0 system produce enough bass? Any other ideas that meet the criteria/budget?
Yes, this Visaton kits look extremely interesting; I've never come across anything like that before. I'd have been tempted to cover them in matt black Formica though.
