    Hi,

Google bar in IE 11 (w8.1) is enabled but does not show up, instead I get an X on left hand side.

Anybody knows how to get it to work?

Firstly why are you using IE? It is possibly the worst browser out there. Secondly if you really insist on using IE, try setting google as the search provider - then you can just search directly from the address bar in IE.

toolbars are evil and should never be installed, do as the others have suggested and set google as default search engine.

if you really must use the google toolbar uninstall it, then reinstall, its usually a bad update that breaks the toolbar, either that or the toolbar is an older version that need updating
