Stock cooler, idle, load gta v maxed rampage for 10 min, could get better temps if I cranked the gpu fan speed up but this is default.

I'd just like to chip in and say the titan cooler is excellent - I think it's probably better than the ACX cooler mine has.

Two EVGA 980Ti SCs arriving tomorrow. Titan coolers.

Will they run on a 750W PSU? (Corsair AX)

Whoa, what are you doing? You need at least two 1500W PSUs daisy chained together! :D

Yeah, I think it'll be fine. I found that two Titan Xs drew about 540W during gaming without an overclock. Using maths and magic (but mostly maths) I reckon that with a good overclock you'll be drawing about 700W at the socket, meaning your PSU is probably actually supplying ~630W.

Unless your running some sort of advanced programme that uses every ounce of CPU and GPU power AND have a ridiculously overclocked CPU...then you'll probably still be good!

I like the idea of peace of mind here especially if the PSU is quite old, say over 3 years, guess that's not too old but you know what I mean.

don't mess about with the PSU, stick in a QUALITY psu for the job and know that if any thing goes wrong its not for the PSU wanting.

I would have recommended to get just the one 980ti at this stage and bump the PSU up and have spare dosh,

2x980ti is hugely impressive thou, BRAAGGGGGING RIGHTS!!!!

I ordered an AX860 just to be on the safe side - a 1200W unit was crazy expensive at £250. I'm quite looking forward to running two 980Ti to be honest :)

Is it worth getting Ti instead of standard 980? I mean price difference wise?

The 980ti is an order of magnitude better than the 980 - which is only slightly better than the 970. I'd say you may as well splash the extra £120 at that level of investment.

Having owned both, I'd agree with Parge - absolutely! Performance wise, I reckon you get more bang-per-buck with the 980 Ti.

its a completely different beast, this is a serious proper card no mistake.

You will not find any one that has moved from a 780 or even a OC 980 to a 980ti and complain.

Card is seriously impressive a big step up.

Does any one know any thing about the pending price drop that is expected soon on the 980ti.

That would be a good topic to get addressed into this thread so fokes can schedule their gpu purchasing timings?

Edit: To give some hard impression, I felt the 980ti is a full third more powerful than the 980 which is impressive plus it has more vram for 4k gamers

    Thanks guys for your answers.
My situation is that I have my 780, which is worth below £200.
I have a 10% discount on ebay till next week, found a nice Palit Super Jetsream for £520, which would cost £470 after discount, so I'm looking at adding £300 to Ti card. Would you consider this a worth purchase? I guess 980Ti could serve me well for next 2 years, hopefully...
I simply never spent this much on card and feels pure madness to me, that's why I'm asking;)

Are there rumors about price cuts on 980Ti?

Ultimately, it comes down to this: the 980Ti has 6GB VRAM, the Titan has 12GB. That's it. There is almost no point in buying a Titan X over a 980Ti.

The only real way a Titan X is better than a 980Ti is when you're maxing out EVERY setting (8xMSAA etc) in a hard to run game at 4k or above - then you'll need more than one to get playable frame rates. For example, Far Cry 3 absolutely maxed out was running at just over 6GB; GTA V was using just over 7GB.
