So I've recently bought a 980TI from Scan and this edition should be clocked at 1178 and 1279 boosted. instead its clocked at 1140 and 1228 boosted.

Does this have something to do with the ASIC Quality? 67.4%

Should I ask for a replacement from Scan? This seems like false advertising?

How are the temperatures? Is it throttling at all?

At the end of the day, if it's not as advertised then you should be entitled to a refund or replacement, but I'd double check that it's not an issue at your end first.

Temps are 65-70 never seen any higher. Nope no throttling that I can see.

Download GPU-Z and tell us what it reports the Default Clock and Boost to be.

That's what I used to get the clocks. I guess a replacement is in order?

    Is it worth it?

My GTX 980 Ti clocks above the stated numbers with a small overclock. Seems more trouble than it's worth for a few MHz you could claim back with a mild overclock. Especially as we're talking about returning a working card back to SCAN who in my experience are appalling at dealing with returns.

Have you run Afterburner alongside GPU-Z? The graph would report the current actual clock when boosted. Could differ from GPU-Z!

It's a lot of money and the coil whine alone is something.
I installed the gaming app and went to OC mode, neither one does anything.

OC mode is purely for the fans, not for the clocks. It changes your fan curves to cope with extra heat generated.

All you need to do is install an overclocking program and up the MHz by whatever amount, and you'd have the same specs. There's nothing wrong with the card, it's just a slightly different BIOS that's installed. If it means that much to have the clocks matched, just install the other BIOS.

I wouldn't recommend it if you're not comfortable with flashing a GPU, though.
