Theres a thing, why did I not think of this? But I am looking at these two: http://www.podtrackers.com/?gclid=C...qgYGaSHPhfRrZSSj6jUn84R02H_Ajk5htCRoCoafw_wcB https://www.g-paws.com/products/gpaws-track
Think it comes down to whether you want to wait till she get's home to find out where she goes, or be able to live track her. $199 + £29 a year to live track with the podtracker or £25 for the g-paws and get the data when she gets home. Think the cost would make me go for the g-paws I looked into things like this a few years, but since moving house my cat doesn't roam as much anymore. I also worried about the size of said device on the collar and how it would affect my cat going about his day. Saying that though, I do wish I knew which neighbours garden he goes to sleep in on during sunny weekends!
I'd go for the podtracker so I'd be able to find it when my cat inevitably manages to remove it after about 20mins of trying... Maybe the g-paws would be okay if the cat is used to wearing a collar. The podtracker looks to big to be comfortable for a cat imo. Plus I assume it's basically to satisfy curiosity, rather than to help find the pet in the event of getting lost (maybe more useful with a dog?), so the realtime tracking is kinda superfluous.
There's also this one that also tracks live https://tractive.com/shop/en/pet-wearables/1-gps-pet-tracker-9120056450015.html Seems quite decent, although theres a monthly fee...
It really does not have to be live tracking and I am not interested in paying a monthly fee so a GPS data recorder is probably all I need.
Trouble being, once you've worked out which of your neighbours gardens your cat takes a daily dump in, you'll never be able to walk passed them in the street without sniggering at them!
It matters not where she goes to the toilet, as it happens she has a pit in my garden where she goes. But I am interested in whether she is being fed elsewhere purely because she is such a fussy cat and I would really like to know what another person has discovered to tickle her taste buds.
This seems to be the best bet for that. It's small, self charging...and not available yet. Most GPS data loggers seem to be at least the size of an average memory stick
Reading on their Facebook page it seems a very long way off from being available. I see people are asking for their money back.
Yes. I was somewhat quick on the trigger there. Their Crowdfunding campaign ended 2 years ago, and there's no product.
