My old Samsung finally gave up the ghost just prior to the house move so a new screen was needed. Went to PC World to get one (yes, yes, I know...) and everything seems to be VGA and HDMI input only aside from a couple, one of which was tiny and looked nasty and this with VGA, DVI, HDMI, and Displayport. I only have 2 DVIs and a mini Displayport on my old card. Still, at least I'm sorted for when I upgrade as well.

Finally got sick of the terrible driving I see on a daily basis (and that's just me!) and decided to get this. First day and I have a little video of some idiot who deliberately sped up as I was gently overtaking them.

The only little problem I have is that for some reason it keeps resetting its time to four hours ahead.

 

Isn't it about time car makers started putting dashcam systems onto the options list?

 

I'm pretty sure they already do for the high to top end market. It should definitely be an added extra for everything else.

 

Likewise. I think it's time for the internet to go off now.

 

Hell, make it standard for all cars. People might not drive like such idiots then *grumbles about how people are getting worse*.

Wish it was a bundle...

 

Fair warning for anyone buying a Pre-water cooled card with a FT02B case; The radiator takes a fair bit of manoeuvring to get it to line up with the pre-drilled holes of the fanmount. You also really need to watch the case-mounted USB sockets.

 

Just re-carpeted my L shaped hall and rather than have a join I bought a bit more carpet that I needed so this did not happen.
Consequently I have a large piece of carpet over so I have cut it to a reasonable size and it is my intention to edge it with the black tape which will be glued and sewn using the waxed thread and curved needle.
Never tried this before but I have the time and the bits below were less than a tenner so why not have a go I thought?

Didn't know you can have console cables like these. Does it show as a COM-port still on your PC so you can connect with putty or whatever terminal software you want to use?

 

I am just going to throw my old much bulkier USB-RS232 adapter to the bin and buy this.

 

All works too Had to relube the nb fan though and the whole lot was covered in nicotine smeg.

Yep this one is FTDI based so Windows (although Win7 made me manually download a driver) and Mac friendly on the occasions that I have to use one.
