What's that in degrees C? I'm asking because there are absolutely no resources on the internet that could readily convert it for me.

Oh all right, I'll stop being lazy.

    86F = 30C
    76F = 24.4C

Pretty warm ambient there! Nice :D

Ok, where's the card, let me just check my wallet...

Oh hey, this card has imperial/metric and farenheit/centigrade conversion tables printed on the back, neat!

P.s. I'll stop this now so we don't end up with too much OT stuff in this excellent thread.

@Mockingbird - OT post all you want. Did you forget it's one of my specialties? 76F isn't "warm" here. It's The number you set the air conditioner to and pray it can keep the house at 80. In fact, It's borderline blanket temperature to Houstonians.

@B-neg - No, I don't have a girlfriend right now. -Oh, mount as a noun... Well, one of those 180 windows updates crapped out WOT, so I didn't get to stress test. I already have the whole thing apart to polish.

@Nexxo - I lost mine while trying to find stuff in Win8.

Whoo! I've been away, but not idle.
-Had to break up another vacuum orgy. I'm going to need to be very careful where I put this computer in the future. I don't want someone trying to get it to clean the drapes.
-What is this? where am I? It looks like some of the final fitting and testing to get the block ready for operation. You can see some screws I had to trim in the capacitor well.
-Messiest test setup ever! Ignore the rubber hose tied to the GPU wires. It's not there to hold up the massive block assembly. -HONEST!
-This doubled as a leak test. I live dangerously sometimes.
-Having confirmed it actually works, I then tore into the channels with Comet cleaner on felt. I touched up some stuff with 800 grit sandpaper to get rid of the cutting marks.. -at least the marks I could get to.
-It's not perfect, but it will have to do. On to the copper plates.
-Best I can do to show off the purple. The blue layer really dominates. I gotta try to get some lights in there.

Here comes the finale for the Gigabyte Windforce R9 270:
-As usual, photographing shiny clear stuff is next to impossible. I managed to get some infinity mirror effects going thanks to all the layers.
-and some nice reflections of the curtains...
-You can see I still have milling marks, but when the water hits this, it will be even clearer.
    -Hey! I see purple!
-Wonder if I can use the fan connector for LED power?
-There you go.:D I'll likely be taking flak for the pic quality shortly.

I'd like tho thank my sponsors once again. Gigabyte in particular gets a shout out on this update for their support. There's no way I would have tried something this involved and...crazy:lol: -without their help.

There better not be anyone behind the curtain. They'd be in my azaleas.
I haven't built a giant glowing monkey head yet, so rest easy.

Vacuum orgy: All fun and games until someone gets their cord caught in a beater brush. :worried:
    Thanks.:D
Best guess on the final weight is 2 1/2 pounds. It maxed out my poor postal scale.

There's a euphemism about my mother-in-laws cooking in the this build's title, shudder :worried:, tho' the build Cheapskate is not a dud unlike her cooking

Tho' eating your build would probably do less damage in the long run than I'm likely to experience eating her dinner in 28 days .... and counting :eyebrow:
