Why? "Oh hey, I wish retailers wouldn't bother selling things for less than normal, especially at a time that's ideal for gift buying and the like"

If the excessive marketing offends you, simply choose to ignore it.

I agree when it comes to the bricks and mortar store rampages, but for online sales I couldn't be happier.

id just like to recommend that Phanteks Evolv ATX to anyone, just got mine last week in black, and the build quality is amazing, all thick sheet metal and a pleasure to work with.

I disagree, I especially love it when the brick and mortar shops do it, because I take delight in watching idiots on the news beat each other up over a £5 toaster.

Although I think they're probably fine SSD's, you might be better just paying the extra £35 and getting a Sandisk 500gb SSD from Amazon.

EDIT: Not available any more sorry. Having said that, i'll leave this post here as they have cropped up twice in the last three days, so more may be forthcoming.

Yup the relentless marketing of a sales event which has appeared for no reason other then to extend the craziness of Christmas does offend me and I try my best to avoid it so was a little disappointed to see the article on here. Hence the original comment.

The Sandisk 240GB SSDs that the article says are £48 from ebuyer are just £40 at Scan

Picked up two Sandisk 480GB SSDs from Scan this morning... £80 each. BARGAIN :)
