Yeah, I experienced the food on my visit, still applied though but was a little late and ended up in Sciennes. I hated it at first (and had to cook for myself), was a crappy looking place, but once the others had moved in too it was fine and we got on great. Right about the cleaners, spose they are used to it though. Resnet was meant to be installed years ago but things went wrong and they were only just installing it at the end of my first year (2000/2001), heard by using tunnelling services you can get past the firewall...

Uni - Manchester Met Course - BSc Internet Computing Accommodation - Halls costing a whopping £3200 a year (Briarfields En-Suite [No Bloody Broadband ])
Hehe, I lived there in my second year, back when it was a private hall. Just to upset you even more, they have shared external lines for the phones, and they're not BT so your dial-up options are (basically) limited to AOL. . There's about 40 lines shared between 200. Sucky sucky! I was the lucky one in the flat who could connect at 57.6 every time, the other three though got about 44 tops, averaging 33. :/ Sorry. PS - What year you in? Hope that you have Nick Whittaker for programming, he rocks!
Starting in september Briarfields wasnt a MMU hall when u went was it? Hopefully now that it is theyve upgraded things a little if not ill cry.
