    Okay,

Ive just re assembled my rig with my new criticool res and maze4 block

What Im seeing is a lot of foamin and that was before I put in the cap full of water wetter

my res is at the top of my case on its side like this

    +----------------+
BACK IN === === Filling tube with bung in end
    OUT TO RAD === |
    +----------------+

I cant seem to get the foam to die down its in all the tubing etc.

Ive turned the pump off for 1/2 hour and let it settle but as soon as I turn it on its all back?

Is this normal, how long should it last?

it could be the turbulance of the water, are you using a fresh lot of water or your old stuff.

I thought it might be too much water water although I only added less than capfull.

Ive replaced a fair amount of water but Im still encountering the problem.

    Any other solutions?

Leave it on for a couple of days... took a long time for the water wetter in my system to calm down :)

Well I'll leave alone now then.

Ive emptied the res and some of the tubes a couple of times now, and have replaced over 1 litre of water now. The whole system only took 1 1/2 litres to fill.

So hopefully that will do it now.

Its 2pm saturday lets see how it is tomorrow.

I switched it all off last night and let the water settle which it did. As soon as I turned it back on its foaming again.

Im running an eheim 1048 pump with a Maze4 block, OCPC 'Deep' radiator which Ive been using before and a criticool reservoir.

All connected using Dangerden Clearflex 60 tubing.

Can I run my PC while its foaming or do I need to wait.

Ive just noticed my pump had been dripping into the big circle piece on the inlet. Ive slapped some PTFE tape around for a temporary measure.

Guess I need a new pump, as I assume this is where the air is getting in.

Damm it this is costing a fortune! Since buying new mobo & processor (which I havent used yet) Ive replaced the reservoir, waterblock and tubing.

I may as well go whole hog and replace the rad and pump too!

My system foamed for a very long time (days) - wouldn't worry yet... and the foam didn't make much difference to my temps.

my CPU temp is at 40`C and my system is at 49`C

with only 1 120mm fan in there and the sides not on.

I know its hot in my room but I dont think this is right?

The system temperature looks wrong... cpu seems ok - maybe you've got something hot next to your motherboard's system temperature probe?

shorly if your room was 47 you'd be getting Condensation starting or somin

id look in your manual and locate the system temp prob and see whats near it :D [inspired by Cheese brought to by MDK] :D

Yeh I realised I had my fan on the rad the wrong way. As soon as I moved the rad, whoosh loads of bubbles and my res half emptied.

Now the water is clear but I still get the occassional bubbling noise from the rad (although I havent seen any more air bubbles).

Ive shaken the rad till my arm got sore.

But the temps are now reasonable cpu 37'C the system is still quite high at 45'C

Well I had to move my rad as I had the fan the wrong way round.

Soon as I moved it whoosh - half a dozen big air bubbles took off and within 5mins my system was foam free.

Still getting the occasional bubbling noise from the rad but I cant seem to shake any more bubbles out.

Temps are great though. The maze4 is much better than the Atlantis block I had
