Definitely a compliment. :) I just have no woodwork / tool skills, so ANYTHING like this looks like absolute MAGIC to me. :D

    Good stuff.
What are the rest of the compartments (the ones on the side) for?

    Thanks

The right side will mainly house the radiator and water cooling in general, the left side atm is just housing the psu, however I will prob make some sort of storage compartment later on.

    Small update.

Just on a side project im trying to make a break away cable for my headset, yes im forever walking away with my headset on and no im not a fan of wireless headsets.

Anyway i decided to make a magnetic connector, so got myself a 4 pole extender cable and some small rare earth magnets, i then proceeded to strip the wires and start to solder the wires to them then realised magnets loose there magnetism under extreme heat.

My work around was simple solder the wires onto tiny pieces of metal which in turn will attract the magnet which then connects the wires to the magnets.

Now the only prob i have is that the housing for the 4 magnets is a little to flexible so trying to figure that out atm.

Neat idea. Does it also eliminate that scratching noise/missing channel problem plugs get?

I don't think you were supposed to use winter stockings.

Tbh I thought it would be a problem but the magnets are strong enough to keep a good contact, however if you pull the cord slightly you do hear it scratching which you kinda expect. Yes the airflow with them thick tights is not good and will be swapped for regular ones, well done for spotting it

That magnetic connector is neat. I would be worried about accidentally reversing the channels though.

No chance of that happening as there is one pair that have opposite polarity to the rest so always snaps into the right connection

So its been a while since my last update mainly saving up for parts but got some stuff done.

So firstly decided to move the headphones lead as my knee kept bashing it and causing it to fall off, so ive relocated it to under the desk.

Also got the new psu thru the post i bit overkill i know but gives me head room to eventually sli and overclock.

Also got my wall mounted monitor arm now which i love :D

Last but not least ive ventured into cable sleeving as you can imagine my psu is very far away from most things so ive needed to create my own extended cables which also makes sense to sleeve them, what a learning curve that is.

Ive only done the 24pin and x2 6 pin so far and the 6 pins need some combes but i really like the look so far.

Thats all for a while until i get more parts ie pumps and gpu+block but until then i will finish off the sleeving :naughty:
