Somewhere in Greece, there's a house with a power supply mortared into the wall. You have plenty of time to work out details. It's not easy to paint in Winter. I still like the idea of this on a single pedestal. Where will you run the PSU cables? It looks like they might have to cross the I/O area.
Hello everyone and happy new year. I came back from my trip in Budapest, i had a great time in Hungary but now i am back to Greece and i decided that its time to start working with the case again. Here is the view i had from the hotel Today i started welding the bottom piece of the case but my welding machine broke down . I hope that its nothing serious and it will be easily fixed Cheers Iraklis
Yes indeed, but after a successful service my welding machine is operating better than before. Today i welded the bottom piece and now the case is almost ready from the outside Cheers Iraklis
More welding and filling and sanding today. I also test mounted my dummy PSU, as you can see on the photo there is enough space to access the I/O of the motherboard. Cheers Iraklis
Today it was a very busy day. I managed to weld the door hinges and attach on the top the magnet that holds the door closed. I also made my order on aquatuning Cheers Iraklis
Hello everyone. While i am waiting my order from aquatuning i did some work with the case. There is a lot of sanding and trimming to be done, but today i drilled the hole for the power plug. I think the overall result is pretty good. Cheers Iraklis
If you ask what type of power cord i am going to use because you think that the straight one wont fit. I am planning to add case feet on the future so both angled and straight power cord fit correctly. Cheers Iraklis
After drilling the hole for the power plug on the back of the case, now its time to drill a hole for the power switch. Cheers Iraklis
I have been preparing the case for some days to paint. I have been busy priming and sanding for many days to achieve a decent result before the paint-primer phase. As you can see i have managed to make the welds invisible and remove and scratches from the surface. I have also prepared one of my radiators for paint. As you can see there are some scratches on the radiator after the primer but with some sanding before the paint i dont believe that they are going to be still visible. Cheers Iraklis
I still havent decided the hardware, since i dont have a tight timeframe when i am gonna complete the case, but i believe it will be the best hardware available that time. Now back to work. I got my mail from aquatuning.de today Cheers Iraklis
Major update today. I have testing various designs for the case stand. The best good looking idea i came up is this. The bottom piece is made of a solid iron piece that adds stability to the whole case and the two other pieces is where the case is going to sit. Cheers Iraklis
