After the great succes of the YAZI - Venator , MSI contacted me with a question if I wanted to do another casemod for them. Who am I to say no .. especially if it is scifi oriented and based on a range of movies who I have loved from childhood to present day. MSI, HyperX and NZXT teamed up with DCcomics and Warner Brothers to create a officially endorsed and authorised casemod contest around the new movie "BATMAN v SUPERMAN" Here is my entry called "2Sides" My mods always must have a idea or story behind it. I think this helps me understand the item I am building better and I draw strength and persevearance (much needed when serial building mods) out of the accompaning story. So "2Sides" is in relation to the 2 sides of the same coin. Just like everybody has a good side and a bad side so has SUPERMAN. Supermans flipside is kryptonite, so I thought it would be fun to create a case with some practical effects with kryptonite in mind. Lets start with a short video on how I created the case in 3D.

After having a week winterholiday with the family and work, its time to do a larger update. First downloaded a random piece of kristal and printed it out in the colours that I had. Using UV Reactive PETG from dutchfilaments here. Then I created my own as a test. This is at 50% scale. The final ones that are going into the case will have a much more random design. Then the case design. The started on the MSI and Warner Brothers Sunken FanGrill I made a entrance for where you can easily swap out cables. Then it was also time to start on the LightPlan. I will be using a total of 8 x TLC5940 Chip to drive all the RGB and UV leds that will be in the case. Just one of the bundles of RGB leds .. First of the Sunken Fangrill parts Iterations 1 and 2 Iteration 3 Also had to do the work for the cablecavern that has to act as a I/O wall also. I decided on a cut and bend aproach. Lots of work to be done in the next few days!
