i think u mean the other way round.. ur way would mean the plexi would make it stik out less Its amasing what painting and changing a few parts has done for the whole of ur case its lookin good
Clarification.... With the plexi on the protrusion from the face of the plexi is approx 5.5mm. With the plexi off the protrusion from the metal face plate is approx 7.5mm. Sorry Darkangel if I wasn't explicit enough, and thanks for the positive feedback!
thanx, luv the case btw damn, looks like it also wont fit, it was my biggest hope aswell, yet another fan controller that wont work, i dont wanna use a digidoc cuz they r ugly and expensive i might have to cone up with a way of setting the thing back into the pc front and still have it looking good
I'm liking the project. I've got the 101 and am trying to work up the courage to do more that cut a window my 200 dollar piece of alluminum. Nice call taking the plexi off the aero gate. Im also likin the fan, saw it before but wasn't sure how it would peform. Can it be turned 90 degrees on the heat sink? That might impove the perfomance taking in acount the back fan. Just a guess... So... where does it go from here? Lets get some pics!
hey when did u buy ur ATC 201? is ur front bezel attached directly to a flap on the top of the case, causing it to bend slightly outwards? this can only be seen looking vertically down from the top
Lsux0rz, Just had a look at my case no sign of any bending of the front bezel. Bought it a month or so ago.
its really, realy, slight, by about 0.9mm. mine has it. anyway, ur atc faceplates have those rides, mine doesnt. must be a different batch, as some of them have, some of them dont, like mine mine are like these http://www.phamcomputer.com/coolermaster/525coversl.jpg
Fun Update.... Just trying to come up with some ideas for what to do next with the case. Came up with this concept drawing using paint shop, just a bit of fun.........or is it?
Just a minor point, have you tried flipping the fan on the Aero 4 round 180 degrees, so the Coolermaster writing is the correct way up? Really minor point I know but I'm a sucker for detail . Anyway, the case is looking great, love the sprayed Aerogate, the silver on that and the 4 push buttons are tied together now. Looks a lot better without the plexi.
Lsux0rz, Sorry for the delay in replying. I've checked and my case is a slightly different design to yours, it doesn't have the screws going into the top of the case and the front bezel looks fine. Caged, Hadn't noticed the coolermaster logo on the fan being the wrong way round, I'll see what I can do. Small Update... I'am planning to change the setup of the aerogate so it only controls the four case fans and add some more chrome switches to switch off the fans completely. As for controlling the the cpu fan, I'am thinking of getting a Musketeer. Again, any comments with be welcome.
I like the clean look. I think a nice aluminum faceplate for the floppy would make even nicer. Nice photoshoping too, that would be... a bit much
Update.... Just bought a silver Musketeer. It didn't stay in one piece long... Out with the spray paint... Heres a few pics of the finished article. The next stage is to mount some more switches to switch off the case fans completely. More updates soon...
Update.... Just recieved some switches from maplin, which I am going to use to switch off my case fans... I'am planning to fit this bank of switches next to the aerogate, so will need to have a bit of a bay re-shuffle. Now, where's that drill.......
Update... My vandel switches have now been mounted on my 5.25 drive plate. Had to get a friend of mine to drill out the plate, my drill chuck wouldn't take a 19mm bit. Cheers Pete!! Here's a couple of shots. I'am currently working on the flip flop circuits so I can use these momentary to switch the case fans on and off. I the meantime, here's a pic of my new rig.... More updates soon.
Wow, nice set up. I really like the black and silver set up and I got thinking. Wouldn't it look nice if the blue backs to the guages were silver so they looked better in the light? I think that would be a great mod and look awesome. I love the silver switches and think that would improve the the face plate look. Some good progress Looks back at pic, dang the key board is black and silver too. And the mouse! Oh man that would look sweet!
