Hi Everyone

Build is progressing and I'm liking the way it's all tying up nicely.

Excuse the photo quality, I refuse to take my dslr camera into the workshop due to the constant dust and mess, lol

The fan grills have been cut and are looking nice imo, decided to skip the PU lacquer as it affected the look of the brushing





They'll be dual layer grills, the first layer is made from 3mm frosted clear acrylic. The edge will light up nicely with the leds from the ring fans

... and that's the final effect.



The DPS PSU will get the some makeover.



Even though it won't be seen the internal fan was F3nixed , well, I know it's there lol



What do you think? Not too sure on that round TT logo, may have to change that...









Time to get the dremel and the step drill out and cut a bit more...

Made from 3mm uv reactive acrylic. M3 acrylic inserts in place and ready to further enhance the lateral shroud

Bit more work to the bottom shroud...





Damn, accidents do happen but I hate to do the same part twice



Adding some detail to the MOOSE

New Update

Hi there guys

Time for a new update and this time we're starting with the fluorescent coloured acrylic accents

First the bits for the moose



Testing to see if they fit nicely





Thought about getting a 420 grill for the bottom intake fans but why not use what I already have lying around??

Some unused 120 fan grills



Trimming down...



JB Welding some parts...



Cut the frame for the 420 grill



Added the trimmed fan grill bits and used some milliput and metallic filler to fill the small gaps around





Some of the parts ready for priming...



The fan grill has plastic and metal and I'll be using two different types of primer, masked around the plastic to apply the plastic primer...

Time to polish the edges of the acrylic parts. I normally start with a dry 240 sand and progress to wet 400, 600, 800 and 1200, then, it's time to use some brasso to do a final polish











Satin Black and matt lacquer to finish off





Airbrushing time!!!!


Used some fluorescent orange in the centre that really glows nicely under UV light



Covered some of the ventilation and grommet holes with some brushed alu



and also created a small lateral window so that the 420 grill can be viewed in it's semi-full glory, lol

Lacquered parts are now fully dry it's time to assemble the bottom shroud

Hi there guys

Got some more progress to show, hope you don't mind an awful lot of pictures, lol

Will start by thanking Scan and more particularly Shelley for sending me a 2TB Seagate SSHD for the build.

I cannot advocate enough the outstanding service that I always received from Scan. Ease of ordering, super fast delivery and comms all the ways till the parcel arrives at your door, what else can you want??

So, my idea is to have all the Thermaltake RGB ring fans operating pretty much independently, I'll be able to control all internal and external sides giving me thousands of colour combinations, rainbow style Cheesecake

For that I needed to add something to the case that could accommodate the 8 controllers that I'm gonna need, this is what I came up with...



Got to love the brushed effect...

Small break on the Tt command centre as I decided that I needed a couple of Lazy Susans, one for the actual case and another for airbrushing.

This was the result, well, actually the red one is now on castor wheels, doesn't get much better than that, maybe if I was to add a little motor ...



IMO any case mod needs a one of a kind power cord, let's get busy

By the way, at the same time I was also doing the case feet...

The Tt command centre was being upgraded

The small 140 had to be cut due to space restrictions imposed by the upper Tt led strip, only because it's inside an aluminium led profile

Bloody star trolls

I know they don't matter but it's saddening to see good work disregarded like that.

Man this is going to look really good when you're done with it. My competition logs are always such late burners, this is much more exciting to watch.
