News Lian Li unveils PE-550, PE-750 SFX-L power supplies

Are these re-badged Silverstone units?

It doesn't seem like it.

 

Strikingly similar when you consider the connectors/colour of the ports and the type of cabling, but the fan grille and stated outputs are different.

 

Lian Li 750w Platinum, yikes!!

..expensive, bet you won't see any change from £150, which I suppose will be worth it for the Lian Li enthusiast.

 

I'm not overly thrilled, I don't know who their OEM is but anything from Lian Li that isn't an aluminium panel is pretty hit or miss. The cable routing grommets in my case are the nastiest thing I've ever seen and I'm not a fan of the fans that came with it.

The warranty will also probably be whatever stores are legally obligated to provide in your country as the company is virtually unreachable.

 

^It will be interesting to see who their OEM is and UK pricing for these units. Somehow I think the current demand for small form factor PSUs will outweigh any cons like noise, warranty etc.
