you can use dlink internal modems but if you have more than 1 computer it is better to get a ADSL router

    Netgear
    Efficient Networks EN 5861
    D-Link DSL-504 or DSL-500
ZyXEL Prestige 645 ADSL Modems and Routers

it all depends what your going to use it for and how much your willing to spend they start form £80 and they go upto £280

the question is how much do you hate HATE the frog (alcatel USB MODEM)

    Question time:

In NZ I got this ADSL internal PCI card. Description:

    "Speedstream3020 ADSL Internal Modem"

    Efficient Networks Inc.

Its got an RJ11 connector, and a whopping big green LED.

    Line Code: DMT, FDM, ADSL
Line Rate: up to 640kbps upstream 6.1mbps downstream

As for serial numbers on the board:

    ASSY 030-3520-001 REV 5.0

Anyone heard of this thing? I don't know anything about it - It wass given to me...

www.plus.net and www.nildram.co.uk both do self-install ADSL which saves money by getting you to do most of the work - you have to provide your own ADSL modem too.....

you can't get it at the moment they have a problem getting them from the supplier.

i am getting the DSL-500 from insight (only place with them "in stock") hopefully on monday.

the 504 isn't out for a few more weeks and its pointless having 4 ports if its going straight into a smootwall, as mine will be.
