    Hi All

Am fairly new to Overclocking but after following various guides I have by 6700K up to 4.8 and stable

Just want to check that these temps and voltages are ok?

Any advice critical or otherwise welcome :thumb:

Well I ran AIDA 64 for about an hour with no crashes and have ran a few games, and all seems fine.
4.8 is pretty good and Im happy with that just wondered if its worth pushing it higher.

What are you using to temperature check ? What cooler are you using?

Your idle temps are higher than I would like but that's the disadvantage of running it perm at 4.8ghz. If you let it multi drop your idles would drop 10-15c.

Prime95 it and check temps again see where it goes.

Prime is awful to use on anything above Sandybridge if it has AVX included.

Your multiplier drops by setting EIST to enabled in the BIOS and a few other power saving settings too.

Speedstep is enabled but the processor doesnt seem to be dropping down, there are lots of c state options, could they be preventing it stepping down?

What power options are you using in Windows? Is it set to high performance by any chance?
