how does the cap work on that thing? could you cut the res down and make it more flush with the case?

The res aint staying there, going to move it to the rear(outside) for now.

Looking around for a new res anyway, would like a larger cylinder type, but cant find any I like yet (any ideas)

you could do clear PVC like I did in goliath or go hit up tapplastics.com:

    http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=141&

clear acrylic tubes :) You seem like you're pretty good with plexi glass fabrication so add some fittings and some clear plexi end caps to that and you'd be golden.

Many guys have made reservoirs out of clear acrylic tube, and they look sweet at computers back (specially with tinted water).

Yeah, that's looking really nice! :D I think it looks much better with the tubes on the front painted silver. I also like the way the tubing for the watercooling looks. Doesn't have that stubby, bunched-up look a lot of systems have. One thing tho, the diamond plate piece on the front looks god but slightly out of place. Maybe if the center of the lower piece there was also diamond plate?

You could enlarge the old res hole and place a PSU exhaust fan there... oh wait, the circuit board is on the top of the PSU. Maybe one of those PCI blower items would fir there, provide a bit of intake.

A bit like this from one of my earlier posts

Not a problem cos I can flip the PSU over so that the circuit board is at the bottom.

Much better mate...what a diffrence having the LCD at the front too. Would get rid of that small metal piece at the front though...Looks outta place.

But that would mean cutting a whole new sheet for the front, the little bit of alu hides a small crack. :D (might do this at the weekend)

I need something there to support a button for the cathodes.

Maybe a piece of smooth Alu to match the rods on the front? Or a small piece of black Plexi?(1mm or thinner would prob work?).

I don't think having a contrasting surround by your switch is bad at all - it's a nice idea and practical in your situation (but I agree with Lithium it does look a little out of place). Perhaps just not a checka-plate but a smooth piece of Alu? What about rounding the corners a touch as well (as you have that nice curve of the bezel below) to 'soften' it a bit? It would blend in with the case front better, still support your switch and look good to boot? Just a suggestion. Feel free to /ignore as you wish :)

The case is looking great overall yodasarmpit. It has a slick yet industrial feel - looks how I would imagine Darth Vader's PC to look. Very nice work indeed! /me awaits further updates.

Thanks for the nice comments G-gnome.

I think a smooth piece of ALU might be the answer, the front has went through quite a few different variations, so a couple more wont do any harm.
