Couple of there that would certainly be in my list as well!

Opinions on the remastering of Monkey Island? I really liked it and just want them to do a similar thing for the 3rd game (they don't even need to change the graphics, just make it downloadable and work on a modern OS!)

The Walking Dead season 1, Bioshock and COD4 are all right up there in my list of favourites.

It's actually reductio ad absurdum - no n and no hyphens.

Apart from that, good article. You made me feel truly old by mentioning how old you were when Monkey Island came out :eeek:

Oh, and before Star*Dagger comes along: it's still an invalid list because it doesn't contain *INSERT FAVOURITE GAME HERE* ;)

I could never get 'To The Moon' to work properly, it always stays in a tiny credit card sized window which made it unplayable for me :(

Cheers. This is what happens when there's no Latin option on Duolingo!

I've got SWAT 4 and the Stechkov expansion sat on my shelf, time for an install!

It's a great game, although the moment you mentioned Children of Taronne The Commander's voice popped into my head.

Control, I've got graves down here... little ones...

Sometimes mundane horror stories are the most affecting.

I'm really enjoying the countdown but if Counter Strike doesn't make the top ten then I'll burn my heelys.

Solid list, still invalid because there is no X-Com game.

Not a matter of a "favorite game" so much as a pan-galactic omission of Dark Phoenix proportions!

If X-Com is not the best PC game ever made, it is certainly in the Top 5.

    Carry on.

Oh s**t, I actually agree with a professional troll, even if it is only about X-Com belonging on the list:worried:
But don't get your hopes up, 50 isn't exactly a large number, have a couple more they will somehow have to squeeze in the remaining 20:

    Half Life
    Half Life 2
    System Shock 2
    Counter Strike
    CS Go
    Starcraft
    Diablo II
    No one lives forever
    No one lives forever 2
    Portal
    Portal 2
    Minecraft
    Thief
    Deus Ex
    Alpha Centauri
    Day of the Tentacle
    C&C
    C&C Red Alert
    C&C Red Alert 2
    Freespace 2
    Quake III Arena
    Civ II
    Homeworld
    Baldurs Gate
    Baldurs Gate II
    GTA Vice City
    Company of Heroes
    Warcraft III
    Age of Empires II
    Portal
    Portal 2
    World of Goo
    Ultima Online
    Everquest
    Fallout
    Fallout 2
    Rise of Nations
    Mafia
    Europa Universalis
    Psychonauts
    Commandos 2
    Witcher 3
    Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
    Clive Barker's Undying
    Operation Flashpoint
    Freelancer

And that is nowhere near a complete list lol.

The grand daddy of course, X-Com Ufo Defense (available on steam and gog), if you are not averse to a bit of tinkering, check out http://openxcom.org/downloads-milestones/

Yes, after 23 years there are still people working on mods for it:thumb:

I would, but I'm waiting for the Commodore C16 port...:D

So for me that would be the 2012 remake called XCOM: Enemy Unknown here in Europe?

Oh thats nothing, I'm waiting for the Eniac port of Master of Orion, any day now:worried:

You can of course tell XCOM: Enemy Unknown came out well than a decade after the original, so not really the same thing, but certainly a solid game worth playing:thumb:

Whilst I agree with the majority of your list, you clearly have a favourite, putting Portal and Portal 2 in twice should count as a duplicate vote, and therefore get you barred for any further postings on the subject.

I'd actually recommend Xenonauts over Xcom if you were going to start playing now. It's not Better, but it's the easiest to pick up and enjoy.

If Rainbow Six isn't in this list, me and Rick are going to have a row again. Wait, the other two entries are on the backend, I can go and check...

Romulans never troll, we state the facts.

Additionally, agreeing with the Star*Dagger is a sure sign of your enlightenment!
