News Bethesda publishes first Quake Champions gameplay trailer

Looks like bloody good fun that ! I would assume Vulkan and thus stupid performance is a given.

While I really like what I have seen so far, I do feel pretty sad about it not being a singleplayer reboot of the series. It feels like forever that I have been waiting for another game in the Lovecraftian universe of Quake 1. I would buy a new singleplayer Quake in a heartbeat, even if it was just a 1:1 conversion of the original game in idTech 6.

But, back to topic: completely agree with VT here. This looks like it will be a lot of fun.

 

Sooooooooo much this! Was so excited to hear that there would be a reboot to Quake and started to look forward to new shiny Shub Niggurath etc. only to find it was actually essentially a reboot of Quake World and therefore Yet Another Team Based Arena Shooter Me Too Multiplayer OMG Counterstrike LOL WTF BBQ Whatever :-(
