It's a fantastic lens for the money, sharp as a tack when stopped down. The compromise with buying cheaper Nikon bodies is the lack of an AF motor, which is why I got the D90 the first time round, but I can't say I miss it - MF is a challenge at first but you get used to it.

I usually chop and change which is why I like the truck crane models so much - there are so many display possibilities. And when I'm rich enough I plan to get the luffing fly jib too (£260 ish). I already had this model a few years ago but had to sell it to pay the car insurance.

One of these, on offer at Boots.

All seemed well, charged fine, makes the normal electric raxor noise, did my jaw line just fine, maybe left a little too much stubble, now for the base of chiMOTHER****.

I tell you, my Jack Russell had a weaker bite than this thing. It's supposed to be safe to use without the guard, if you think looking like a David Cronenberg movie passes for normal maybe.

Rubbing vast amounts of Savlon into my face, reading Boots' return policy...

Flights to berlin for the weekend after next...

    and this...

I've wanted one for years... Its kind of douchy but I just want one and to wear it out is going to take every ounce of my new found confidence so maybe its a good thing?

    To pair with this...

Probably will end up loving it yet sending it back because i'm not confident enough to wear it in public

    First ever guitar lesson

Having had a guitar for years, but being barely able to play it, I've been thinking of taking up lessons for a while - I was gifted a new guitar a couple of weeks ago and this was the kick up the behind I needed.

Throughly enjoyed it - came away feeling like I'd learnt a lot. Will be continuing on with this indefinately now to learn it properly :)

    That looks savage.

I reckon a Muhle R41 would be kinder on your skin, and that's considered one of the most aggressive & closest shaving DE razors around! (Don't try it though!)

I am aware of this, but you can't do a jaw line without touching your skin, it's supposed to be safe to do edging without the guard.

I have one of those and agree it is an excellent mouse. Unfortunately, due to the onset of arthritis, I have had to move on to a vertical mouse. The Evoluent Vertical Mouse is a good mouse but, it cannot match the precision and instant response of the Func.

If it's just the switch, the Func looks pretty easy to open (only one cable between the top and bottom halves, and it has a nice removable connector), and the Omron D2FC-3M switch is readily available, and through-hole so easy to solder by hand.

I recently refurbished our kitchen, so I've bought quite a lot of stuff

    - 3l supergloss paint, charcoal
    - 1l supergloss paint, aged white
    - 28 Drawer/cabinet handles, birdcage, forged iron
    - 150 3x3.5mm woodscrews
    - Stove ventilator (or whatever you call them), brushed steel
    - Flexible pipe 150mm for ventilator
    - New lamp for dining room
    - 5x 6.5W dimmable LED bulbs, warm-white
    - Eight new drawers "Maximera" (Ikea) with rails and dampers (they're amazingly smooth)
    - Various nick-nacks for decoration handpicked by the missus...
    - 12x drinking glasses
    - 4x Scented candles
    - 4x 1W LED rails, warm-white
    - 1 Pop-up electric triple outlet with two USB-ports
    - 8x Pneumatic kitchen cabinet door lifters
    - 20x cabinet door dampers
    - 10x push-to-open latches
    - Jewelry box, pink, for daughter who just got her ears pierced
    - 24x mini Pokémon figurines, for my son
    - Victorian, "steampunk-ish" necklace for the missus
    - Brushes and rollers
    - Various grit sandpaper
    - 1.5l Countertop oil for oak
    - 1 2mx1m sheet antislip mat

I think that's it. Might be more...

With this thread now stretching to more than 31,000 replies, is it now time to go for v3.0?

Email them -- I'm sure they do custom sizes, although that would depend on how big their lasts go.
