Linux Minecraft; Official Bit-tech server

I'd probably be up for some Minecraft multiplayer again, found myself getting back into it recently, just playing singleplayer survival, be nice to have some company while playing, .

Don't have as much free time now as I used to though,

 

yeah i would be interested in starting a new multiplayer

 

I'd be interested in doing some more Minecraft multiplayer at some point, been mostly playing it on my PS4 with my niece lately.

It'd probably need to be a new server for me to play online, I couldn't cope with the endless stuttering and disconnecting that I had with the old server.

 

I have a skyfactory going at the moment for me and some friends. I could put up another server if you wanted to try it. (I am in the US, and I have a 1gb/s fiber connection). Not sure how latency would be since most of the users are on the other side

 

My significant other and I have an interest in join the server again. Like most of you it's been years so it might just be time to get back into it

 

if you wouldn't mind putting one up that would be great, would be worth a go, if you have that sort of connection I shouldn't think the lag should be that noticeable its always worth a try , plus with a new server and a new world might spark some more interest.

 

Any mods preferred or just vanilla minecraft? I don't mind at all as the server hardware is already up and going, free cpu space is available.

well id say Vanilla, but i know of a few small mods that are VERY useful

anti Enderman Greifing ( gives the Enderman an invisible block to hold that they cant put down so they dont D*ck around moving all your blocks

Craftable Packed Ice is always nice

Moveable spawners is also hugely useful for those wanting to set up spawner traps / farms

 

Server is up, no mods running at this time, but feel free to log in and test it out. PM for IP (Or look in the links I posted above) port is not standard. Use port 25566

 

& I thought my download speed was nice, download the internetz in under 10seconds lol


Logged on all seems to be working super smoothly so lets get building ( I may of built a really naff holding pen lol, will work on it tomorrow

 

Got myself a nice little cliff side house, also got some wheat planted and have a pen set up to get some sheep into once the wheat has grown.

 

Holy poop 1.7 is an old way to play the game

Any chance you could update to 1.10 ? then re-start a new world with the same seed ( it means a little replacement work, but the additions of the new blocks and mechanics would be worth it imo )

 

Make sure you are using port 25566 it is using the newest server. Standard port is my skyfactory server that is based on 1.7

I shall make a habit of jumping online for a bit on Wednesday evenings and Saturday's around midday.

well with 25566 open, i still get the message that the server at the address is on 1.7.10

i have added the rule to the router to use port 25566. but according to a port checker, its still closed

 

Just logged on for 10 minutes, server seems to be running latest version 1.11 for me.

Did you put the server IP address with ":25566" at the end in your Minecraft client (without the quotes of course)?

 

nope, i wasnt, i didnt even think to try that ( blame lack of sleep + manflu )

jumped on and it seemed to run fine, will be back on later

 

It's an easy thing to forget, it often slips my mind too.
