Asus's new motherboards, OH MY GOD! Never seen anything like it. Sure, all three companies have some decent ATX boards.

But look at the ITX and M-atx boards, Asus is completely running circles around the others. Amazing.

The mobo market is getting ridiculous. There is absolutely no need for so many different boards.

    Question to Asus...

So the current Z170 "Pro Gaming" Range equivalent is the Z270 "Strix Gaming"?

While plenty of choice is a good thing, when it tips over into confusion it's not so great. MSI has how many Z270 mainboards ...14 :) and that's just by them. Asus is getting a bit silly as well. Still maybe the AM4 boards for Ryzen will have a more straightforward lineup from manufacturers, keep it to a dozen each guys. :)

AMD would like this level of options in truth, would offer more choices.

Wow was looking to upgrade my 7 year old system. But the amount of choice for the latest motherboards is crazy. Plus I'm sure there will be revision I'm the next 6 months. I'm just going to spin around with my eyes closed and pick 1

The next batch of boards is AMD AM4, then in ~9 months it's X209 and Sandy-E.

It's interesting that with all the LED they throw on these things nobody does the color coded LED behind the audio jack thing (AFAIK), not even ASUS who introduced it does it anymore on their audio cards I hear.
To me it seemed such a cute and simple trick to put LED behind connectors.
