    The Siege of Jadotville

    7/10 worth a watch

    The Witch - Sky Cinema

Received a email from Sky saying the nightmare begins, thinking nice a horror to watch…

If you want a very long drawn out boring movie full of religious tripe this is the movie for you!

    Rewatched AKIRA - 10/10

It's still a Masterpiece, no matter how many times I watch it. Do I over-exaggerate just a tad? I don't think I do. Dystopian Sci-Fi at it's very best.

Finally caved and watched a Bollywood flick, and I'm glad I did. Might have to take my cousin's recommendations more seriously from now...

Dangal – 8/10 aka "pretty damn good for B'wood!"

Huh, I thought I'd already posted it here...

    Star Trek - Beyond 7/10

Now I'm not a die hard trekkie, so all the glaring inconsistencies that seem to annoy people passe by me.
I really liked how the characters interacted, the new McCoy is turning out good, so is simon pegg obviously. I liked it. The story...is a long TV-episode, the animations were good
I kept remebering (wrong) that Benedict Cumberbatch was on the poster and kept expecting him to turn up, but nope

I certainly don't seem to get on with many of Stiller's films, but he is in Dodgeball, and I love that film (not for his part in it though). Also, I can't help but find myself watching the 'Meet the Parents/Fockers' films if I stumble upon them on TV. There's something about that Stiller/De Niro relationship I quite like it seems.

The Brand New Testament - 7/10 (Le tout nouveau testament)

Some fantastic ideas and some very nice scenes, but a lot of lenghts in between. The timing is a bit off in many parts of the film.
It tries to tell a story in a Jean-Pierre Jeunet way but doesn't quite get away with it.

Oh, and it could (easily) have been a lot funnier.

Watchable but totally lacks any emotive element the previous films had. Just JB running around, magically wooing female operatives to help him.

    Ben Hur (2016) - 3/10
That was TERRIBLE, and the only reason I got to the end was because of an 11 hour flight and this was the only thing I hadn't watched yet.

    The Infiltrator

A slow story especially in the middle but very tense in places, the ending is very good. It is worth watching for Bryan Cranston but don't expect edge of the seat action.

I stumbled upon it on Film 4 last night, and can thankfully now quite delightfully confirm Margot does indeed go at least topless in it. The experience as a whole was massively infuriating - not because of the film as I was very much enjoying it, but the atmospheric conditions last night were playing havoc with my Film 4 reception and large swathes of the middle part of the film were total write-offs for me. I gave up completely with an hour left, but should have quit at least 30 mins earlier. Will have to try and catch it another time to see where it went. Good watch tho, and another good job by LDC.

I think I have mentioned this before, but they played quite fast and loose with the first book (and random elements of the second) there.

A good few plot holes are explained in the books. Though i do suppose this is par for the course.
The books are recommendable, even if the end of the third one is a bit bland.
