Hello my modding friends, it's time for a new MbK build

Specifications for this build will be:

    • Corsair Carbide 600C (double window)
    • Corsair RM1000i
    • Corsair Commander Mini
    • Corsair Link RGB LED Lighting Kit
    • Corsair DC Cable Kit BLACK
    • Corsair Neutron Series XT 240GB
    • Corsair Vengeance® LPX 32GB
    • Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition

    • Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7
    • Intel Core i7-6700K
    • Asus STRIX-GTX980-DC2-4GD5
    • Bitspower fittingen/ adapters
    • EKWB water blocks
    • EKWB 360 and 240 rads

    Time for some unboxing:

    The Corsair Carbide 600C:

Great inverse ATX layout. Perfect for good airflow imho

Fit up to a 360mm radiator on bottom

And up to a 280mm radiator up in the front

PSU and drives behind a clean, refined PSU and 5.25" bay cover

With a nice seperate part and logo

More Corsair goodies later. Time for some modding:

First, I want to aligned the radiators

Marking first, then sawing and grinding

Recycled a plate whit fanholes from another case

Placed the 240 and 360 radiator for the looks

And also placed the Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 to continue the brainstorming

    More very soon!

    Update!!!

    Sponsored by

For the next update I have cut, signed and sawn a large piece of white acrylic

After some sawing and filing... my side custom cover

And also a cover over the radiator (will add slots later)

And not to forget I will add a beautiful Corsair Vengeance LPX kit:

    32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16

And for flow and some coolness some great Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition fans

Now almost all hardware is present it is time to start thinking about the loop.

And again this will be done with nicely bended PETG, and after some puzzling it looks like this:

The reservoir I used is an old Bayres and tapped some holes for the fittings in the right place

Finally I made a drain port at the bottom of the case straight from the pump

And for a fillport slightly modified the front cover to reach the port of reservoir.

    To be continued!

    Update!!!

Before this update starts a small vid how the side cover was created:

After finishing this cover, I used black matte vinyl and cut some edges to show the white lines from the acrylic.

As seen in the pictures above, I also have added two windows for a view on the reservoir and PSU: The Corsair RM1000i

This with the standard flat cables:

For better looks I have chosen a beautiful sleeve kit, the DC Cable Kit, Type 3 (Generation 2), BLACK.

    More on this later!

Back to the cover and rad grill. I've cut away a big piece from the original plate with the size of a radgrill I had laying around. And now with a black MbK logo!

    Time to fill....

Going to fill it with Mayhems pastel red

Off course I have a little movie regarding this:

which give some nice pictures afterwards. Here a preview picture... rest will follow ;)

    Definitely a "mbk" build!
Came out looking really sharp with the tube-runs and the deco-plate work

"Made by kier" when i see that, i know it will be something exeptional, and I am always puzzled how you manage to create with same materials as other modders, so much perfection and purity in the parts you're modding, wich finally makes something unique, like a signature of your own creativity...
