Thing is if the Mexican economy tanks as a result of Trumpton, you're liable to see more Mexicans headed north.

And you may say 'Ah but the wall'. First - there is no wall [yet]. Second - unlike Trump, Mexicans know how tunnels work.

EDIT: How long d'you reckon before Trumpet says something the lines of 'We should send those Pipeline protestants back to where they came from.'

Historically speaking the United Nations (and NATO) has pretty much been synonymous with the United States in terms of financial and military power and for as long as it remains the military and financial power not much influence will be lost it will keep dictating. For example NATO, demanding member nations to stop leeching and pay their end of the defense which I believe comes in around 2% of their GDP. That's not too much to ask.

    In any case.

Over time financial and military power will shift these things always do and perhaps Russia or China will turn out to be the next global power.

My money is on China. Not only does it have a stronger economy (with a more global reach) than Russia, it also is in a position where it can start to think ahead, while Putin is still needing to consolidate Russia's position. You see this in China's strong investment in green/renewable energy technology just when the US is swinging back to oil dependency and the UK is basically acting as a test bed for Chinese nuclear energy technology (and paying for that, too!).

Just when NAFTA has successfully managed to create a Mexican middle-class and to encourage Mexicans to stay in Mexico, Trump arrive and want to dismantle an agreement that will be more effective on the long run than his stupid wall.

You know where this is headed, right?
How does it feel to know you would have been duped by Hitler too?

We all know where this is heading, the same way we knew how it will end when we saw the second plane before it crashed in the WTC South Tower.

So whose looking forward to Trump's state visit later this year?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say all rainbowbridge's Christmases and birthdays have come at once. ;)

The English weren't immigrating to a country they were settlers who created a country. I see where you're going with this, but it's not the same thing. Besides, the country was created a long time ago and is well established. Now i'ts all about maintaining it.
