Hello again ! After the Hydro MAchine project, I am starting another one, The ultra HTPC Project ! I only started yesterday, with the case paint and grilling (installing fan grill ). Then I made some connectors, because the IO panel of the motherboard is in the middle of the case, so the extension cables will help me to place the connectors in the back of the case. all the case will be closed with plexiglass, the front, the back and the top. Hope you'll like it ! REMEMBER ! it is only starting !!! MuHaHaHaHa !!!! Thanks, Avner Richard
hey dude, did you just pull the ethernet off your mobo or did you buy that from somewhere? if so, where?
i cut off the male connector with the wires of an existing LAN cable, the female connector is from an old LAN card....
you can buy rj45 jacks from many places online. They are about 8 bucks each though. They are used to wall jacks but are easy to attach the cable to. If you can install a phone jack in a wall you can attach cat 5 to a female jack
This project is going to be sweet. I like the idea of making mobo standoffs of plexi and the glowing HD supports.
The MOBO's IO panel is in the center of the case, so i need expansion cables to the back of the case...
omg you painted the case, before you cut it up ballsy... looking good though.. cant wait to see how it comes out
ok, for some reason i cant see ANY of the pics, neone else have the same problem? (EDIT) oh..... now i can, nvmd
Hello all ! sorry about these updateless days, i'm working hard on it... so now a little update, including getting the PSU prepared for the sleeving, and painting a black classic fan to UV using a special technique - you first paint the black fan with white spray, then with the UV color..... The UV spray on the black fan directly is almost invisible, so you have to paint it into white first, like I said.. so here are the pic's ! Enjoy And the UV painted fan : Thank, Avner
everything - no but all the cables yes I prefer to sleeve the cables that way and to not play with all those little pins in the molex's....
So long as you know what you're doing. I prefer the molex pin method myself, also is the paint two toned with a fade in the middle? Did you burn the initial beige pant off with a torch before painting?
