hey guys, I'm working on a new project and I need some 5mm led holders. none of that plastic crap, I want some thing cool, like metal, or chromed or something. if you can post a link to a store, but I am in the US, so shipping might be a problem.

    tks guys.

i was looking for them the other day and i know radioshack carries them. I chcked their website and it was sold out. So i went to the store and they didn't have it. I went to 4 other ones and finally this 1 store had about 10. I took them all. So all i gotta say is, good luck ;P Where you located?

Those radioshack LED holders are utter junk. I use to have some of THE COOLEST led holders known to man, but I can't seem to remember the manufacturer...

If I remember I will post it... This will keep me up all night, I HATE YOU! :D

I used the radio shack chrome ones - they work fine and look cool too. Maybe AstrumPreliator got some of the crappy plastic ones.

Maybe I got a different version from you. I got some pretty crappy ones.

I don't mind the plastic ones, I use them when I need something to be concealed. They are very useful when putting LED's through the back of aluminium into plexiglass.

No kidding, those things might as well be labeled "Invulnerable Switches: Break me, I dare ya!".

I've had a pair of the Radioshack chrome ones.

    Great, if you use sockets.

They have a little rubber stopper-type thing that hold the LED in there, I lost mine after 5 different uses.

So uh, yeh. They're good for a "stay in place" LED.

    :p I just might try.

In all seriousness I'd like a few for various projects.
