Hi I've got a corsair K65 RGB Keyboard with speed mx's and I'm thinking of buying some clear o rings off the bay is this a good idea.
    Thanks.

No, it's a dreadful idea, IMO.

O rings do their best to make your lovely mech board feel like a £5 rubber dome PoS.

If you absolutely must try them out, ping me your address - I'm fairly sure I still have a bag or two gathering dust. In my honest opinion, they aren't worth the time it takes to fit them but I only discovered that by trying it for myself.

It's a horrific idea - makes a lovely mechanical board feel like a cheap nasty membrane board... Why are you thinking of buying them?

Edit: ^Haha - seems that we're in agreement :) For some reason your reply wasn't showing when I typed mine even though they're 15 minutes apart :p

You probably have the same bad habit as me - click on new posts and then open any interesting threads in their own tabs, and by the time you get around to one of the later ones, there could well be several replies that you are unaware of.

If it's too loud for you when typing , go for it, else, naaah.

Mech's really do feel less good with the o-rings on, but they are quieter too.

Putting old mouse mats under the kb will reduce sound slightly.
