    From el Reg:

Parents in Oak Park, Illinois, have launched a class action lawsuit against their local school board for allegedly threatening the health of children by installing wireless local area network technology in classrooms.

The lawsuit, reported by Wi-Fi Networking News, alleges that Oak Park Elementary School District 97 has "ignored the substantial body of evidence that high frequency electro-magnetic radiation poses substantial and serious health risks, particularly to growing children".

    Uh, um... Yea... Dangerous...

    More like
"I'm not familiar with this technology..."
    "It used high-frequency radio waves?"
"Let's sue... I need one of those new 2.4ghz cordless phones and a new cell phone anyway"

Idiots with money are a REAL bad combination.

The school should just continue the rollout, and then mandate that a lead-lined flying helmet should be worn at all times by the students as part of their school uniform. :D

Yep, just another one of those.

Those same parents should be sued for injuring their childrens health by using cell phone near them.

dont forget mobile phones work on microwaves, ban them aswell. ive heard thet a mobile phone could cook an egg if put next to it and it rang 4 a whole year!!!

Only in america i say. its lame and stupid. why cant they just b thankful that the school has the cash to buy these things. if the parents win then they probably wont have the money for heating let alone fancy computer networking.

Bunch of switches and some Cat5 cable would solve that problem.

It has been for a while IMO. Just been getting towards bigger and sillier things now.

Yeah. The only nation where you'd be kidnapped by aliens seems to be america. Most of the serial killers seem to reside in america. You can sue somebody because the coffee is to hot. I'm not saying its idiotic, but it is rather strange

No comments about everything else, but most serial killers seem to reside in America, cos thats the only place that makes a huge fuss about them and gives them that amount of TV and newspaper coverage. And it is a bloody huge country. So logic says that there must be more such people over there than in a smaller country.
