Hello all, As most of you will know we've been making constant adjustments to the forums over the last 4 or so days to try polish them. A lot of people have given some great feedback and We've been keeping it all in a list that we work on. This thread will be used to update you all on what has been changed and what we plan to (hopefully) finish changing next week after a meeting with other staff members. We'll mostly be talking about the forum but also the main site . As always feel free to post any feedback in the relevant threads. We'll keep this thread updated so you know what is being changed. Lastly thank you everyone that has gave good feedback and made MLyon's and Zak's first weeks of the community great . Below are MLyons's notes, which he can just about see through the sweat in his eyes! EDIT by @MLyons: This has now been changed into a constantly updated change log thread. New emoticons are't displayed in the comments below articles on the main site. Old school smilies. More Cheesecake After many people complaining about temporary blindness I've made a wide screen dark theme. The Narrow version will be made when I've fully completed the wide one as I want to keep them consistent. Font size - still some room for improvement. Active text input colours. Old BB code. The only issue We know of is with the folding one. We'll continue to work on this. On the user info on the left it now shows your location like on the old forum, I've also made it the same order. Username box width rep may of been converted to likes or some other unit. if so i believe that unit needs to be shown. make the use of purple on the site consistent. Limiting the number of banners shown. Sorry @Gareth Halfacree . Show more user info on the side of posts. This will be decided Monday in a meeting. Possibly move tags from the top of threads to the bottom. Remove "Home" from the bread crumbs. This will be decided in a meeting Monday. bit-tech favicon on the forum. some prefixes being too long causing the prefix to display over 2 lines. coloured prefixes for the gaming section text being invisible on following and followers on users profile page. tabs being being a naf colour on profile page Info under avatars on posts being invisible on the light narrow style Info under avatars was cutting off for some text, this has been tweaked and should now be better On IE the main site and the forum aren't the same width. thats a good "todo" list, can I add another one to the pile? make it easier to differentiate between posts in the same way as thread colour coding, iirc the previous boards alternated posts between varying shades of grey

a subtle alternating shade would make separating posts better then the 1 pixel grey line we currently have atm imo
Have a look around the forum and tell me if you see your rep number called something different. I'll see what i can do. EDIT: @lilgoth89 I've just had a lil look around and it seems that rep has been changed to likes. These will probably be shown under avatars. I'll see on Monday if it's something we want to show. I'm guessing yes.
Would you like me to go into the config and change what they display as to rep again. Would that make you happy?
It's honestly a fairly easy thing to do. I've actually done it already on some things I'm surprised no one noticed.
If the entire global world of everyone wants Rep and not Like ... we can put it to the board of religious Druids to agree. Midsummer has passed now.. the next virgin to be altered is mid Winter..... can you wait?
Stop being a tart, Dan The rep sysem was just a bit of pointless fun - I don;t miss it. Visible likes on a post makes more sense.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the current like system pretty much the same as rep just with a different name. I didn't use the old forum a bunch so didn't have rep and therefore don't know 100% how it worked.
