I purchased the Alphacool at christmas. Haven't bent my tube yet. A bit apprehensive because I know the hard tubing makes liquid cooling much more of a pain.

Nope. You strip wallpaper with steam; you strip paint with heat :duh:
Also the mirrored image at the top of the article offends my OCD :p:
Yes, but hardline tubing looks so much neater and cooler than traditional bendy tubing

Interesting to see it looks like the entry level B&D has had most use out of those Alex.

Gah yes you’re right, we did a lot of house remodelling recently and I mind blanked and wrote the wrong one, will slip the correct one in there haha.

Will have to just live with the mirrored image though :p

That’d be because it’s just ooooooold haha, no doubt was thoroughly abused before I ever picked it up. Only had the Bosch for about 8 months so it’s still pretty pristine.

I've always found them very cumbersome and weak compared to my soldering station's hot air tool. It's certainly better for close-in detailed work.

Agree. I have seen some pro mod builds still using bendy though but I agree the straight looks better. Bendy tubing is cloudy. I guess I have to get over my anxiety and fit the hard tube sometime.

It probably should be mentioned that the insides of all of these are generally the same China-tastic junk, and the antique B&D is far sturdier than any model they have available now.

You can also remove wallpaper with heat if you apply enough of it.

Yes, billet aluminium hose separators. I introduced those to PC modding. :cooldude:
