I would guess it's because you're not as direct in your insults as others, you're more cerebral in your insults basically and i think that sort of thing goes way over walle's head. o_O

Most nations were happy to join and take with Germany in the middle footing most of the bills, as for leaving that's not leeching as much as remaining would be, and lesser nations who will never be able to equally contribute will happily continue to do so long after England is gone, assuming it actually leaves.

Nothing, neither your question or my answer had anything to do with the EU, let alone this thread for that matter, yet here we were talking about it.

Not in and of itself, or in the repetition, but a statement can certainly contain and convey truth.

Well this took an interesting turn..

If you were on my ignore list, or I on yours, we would not be able to communicate.

For every expert there is an equal and opposite expert, followed by speculations and predictions.

What was highlighted was butthurt and a bruised ego, that is all.

Your view of yourself as a lesser man must have been a rather sad insight, but at least you are smiling about it so you must have found some happiness in it too.

I was glad to prove you wrong by also responding to you this time around (albeit as a result of auto log in having been disabled, that's now been taken care of) and recognize you and give you some attention.

Good sound bite, unfortunately it's just plain wrong.
At least you can admit you were butthurt, however with an ego the size of yours it's really no surprise that it get's bruised.
Not lesser, just as equally flawed as every other human, an insight you've yet to reach.
Aww, and there was me feeling all special. :p

Back to the Trumpocalypse, or breaking down of the American Empire?

According to Trump and the NRA, the solution for mass shooting in school would be to arm teachers with guns. Also, Florida’s house of Representatives rejected a ban on the AR-15, but judged that porn was dangerous.

Everyone knows that the only way to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun.. And that you can only solve the problems of guns with more guns..

But on a more serious point, the only thing you can guarantee will come as a result of arming teachers is that, sooner or later, an armed teacher will snap and be the cause of a school massacre. At which point I suppose the NRA will lobby for arming students.

If the UK is a major contributor, how can it be leeching by remaining?

Dude, you brought up the whole 'imaginary white privileged oppressive male patriarchy' thing. We were talking about whether people/nations who aren't in a position to contribute equally through no fault of their own, are leeching of others that are.

Can, but in that instance didn't.

While arming teachers is just stupid, banning one specific firearm wont solve anything, it would just be "something must be done" ban. Stricter gun sale/ control laws, mandatory training, increased age of ownership, etc should be a way to go, if you want to go ban route - then ban all firearms (this is not in jest or sarcastic remark).

As for porn - it's US of A, what do you expect?

p.s. the ban in question, from what i can gather, was for assault rifles, of witch AR-15 is not and are pretty much banned anyways.

It was suggested elswhere that the 'Arm all the teachers' is this topic's equivlaent of what 'build the wall!' became to DACA. In that Trump will insist it gets tagged onto a moderately sensible proposal with a reasonable chance of passing knowing it's addition will put off enough people to stop the sensible bit passing. Then he can say 'well I tried, but Congress/the Democrats...'

As an alternative to an outright ban of guns I'd propose something along the lines below as a requirement for a permit:
    Min age of 25.
    Approval from two psychologists.
    Mandatory fire arm training.
    Clean criminal record.

Absolutely, banning a single weapons won't solve the problem. Personally I would ban the sale of magazines above 5 rounds, triple background checks, establish a buy back program for used guns and raise the minimum age. Also, invest a lot of money in mental healthcare. (Won't happen)

p.s: The only difference between an assault rifle and the likes of the AR-15 is the fire rate. Here's a video you might find interesting. You can turn these semi in auto with special bump stocks which are legal, and equip them with 30 to 75 rounds magazines (that's what the Vegas shooter did).

America is never going to ban guns, it seems a bit of a struggle for them to even debate stricter controls as the NRA instantly frames any talk of control as an either or argument, they're trying to take away your personal freedoms.

Trumps been watching far to many Hollywood films and TV if he believes arming school teachers is the answer as police officers have something like a 30% hit rate, trained school teachers would undoubtedly be much lower than that.

I'd like to point out that the police would probably end up gunning down a "Teacher with a gun" very very often. How the f**** are they supposed to know if the teacher isn't the gunman himself?

Looks like Trump has decided that the scapegoat for the shooting this time round will be games and movies:
