It's defiantly magical thinking of some sort.
JRM says that warnings that Brexit could pose a threat to peace were "cynical" and that suggesting so was encouraging violence.

Just like telling people to watch while crossing the road is encouraging drivers to try and hit them. :p

Meanwhile: more taking back control! (or: "So long, and thanks for all the fish")

Also: Theresa May begging for the UK to join the EU defence force as a third country because.....well, reality:

The agreement on the transition period didn't go well then, instead of it being about implementing the changes it's going to extend the negotiations, instead of all payments to the EU ending in March 2019 we're going to be paying until 2064, instead of not having the ECJ adjudicating after 2019 we have to abide by all EU rules and regulations during the transition period, instead of taking back control of fishing grounds in 2019 that won't be until after the transition period, freedom of movement won't end in 2019 like we were told, same with trade deals, and finally instead of the transition period not being time limited we've accepted that it will end on January the 1st 2021, in effect kicking the can down the road until 18 months before the next planned general election.

    We are so winning. ;)

Don't go posting pictures of it, if you do that people will actually want one now and we won't be able to dangle it in-front of everyone as something worth spending decades crawling through mud for.

Spain has blown the 'agreement' out of the water. Gibraltar, yeah, people forgot about that.

Doesn't dumping waste in the Thames come with a fine of some sort?

£80 in RBKC, lowered if paid in 10 days.

    For Westminster:
Not sure if that counts the River though..

You'd be done for fly-tiping or for dumping potentially hazardous materials without a permit iirc...

I almost laughed myself out of my chair about the passports.

    Rahrahbluerahrah-ohshit they're being made abroad.

Whoever made that winning bid for the work is a goddamn genius.

I wonder if it's the same company who already make blue passports for Croatia?

I mean they've never had to be burgundy anyway.

Brexit means better access to the global market innit...

Accept when the fact passport printing is privatised, which means WTO rules state that the work must be tendered, which means a companies in an EU state can bid for, and win, the work. And as a kicker France didn't privatise their printing which means they can arbitrarily do everything in house, even within the walls of the evil EU empire...

Maybe we can leave the global market too; Maybe trade with Mars. I think that would suit people who claim benefits to trade and the economy, but when it comes down to it their only interest is their protectionist and nationalist ideals.
