I can finally go home. Well, tomorrow. I ordered Eliquid from, quite frankly, a joke of a company and it took 7 days for half of what I ordered to arrive with no part refund. Very annoyed about it, but at least I can finally go home. Started getting home sick a couple of days ago, and was feeling a bit trapped.

Sorted out my albums. Only fifteen or so were copies, or in real terms, about £160 on Amazon.

I was expecting much, much, worse.

Also, it turns out that my (deceased) uncle had a very similar taste in some regards to my girlfriends dad. German jazz is.. Unique.

£2000 pay rise (back-dated to April) with the promise, [edit] in writing, of another £2000 in October provided I meet targets (which are yet to be agreed). Plus I've calculated my overtime from the last 3 weeks to be around £1600.

An 11% pay rise by the end of the year certainly makes the pain of the last few weeks a bit more palatable, even if we haven't entirely finished the painful part of this project.

Had our first scan today - got to see the little thing punching and kicking around, rolling side to side and it's tiny heart pumping away like a trooper!

Congrats man. The first scan is amazing, isn't it? Just wait for the second scan, though, because that's even more mind-blowing.

Congrats to you & Mrs W, is that 12 weeks or later?
Time flies, we still have our scans from 18 and 15 years ago, and it truly is the biggest and possibly hardest job in life!

Say goodbye to whatever disposable income you had!! Only joking, they’re not that expensive when they’re little... it’s when they get big and demand stuff!! Congratulations to you and Mrs W!

Cheers all! Luckily I fell out of love with PC's and gaming a while back and just about got my bike built before I could justify spending too much. The missus has quite an extended family, a few of which have recently had kids, so we've already been offered 90% of the stuff we'll need. Just gotta look out for the those Groupon Pampers deals and what not

Just found out the boss is expecting his 2nd about 2 weeks after us too, so it's gonna be a mental December (traditionally our busiest period!).

I still love my computers but it's been love from afar since the prices hiked. It was bad enough before, but the price hikes have just made me dig in my heels and survive on what I got. Just about got my upgrade in last June before it all went silly, have bought absolutely nothing new resembling a PC part since (apart from coolant and some used parts).

And yeah, get ready to be skint haha. Then again, no money in the world can take the place of a child. Very happy for you !
