Hi, got a strange one on my little school network that I've inherited..

There's a financial program that refuses to connect properly (database running on server) with anything other than admin permissions. I've added the user to the local admin group on her workstation - but she still get the lockout permissions warning. Gone through the GPO's to see if its something in there blocking it - cant find it..

So I've had a look at the users 'member of' properties - compared the user against my admin account.. if I was to add 'administrators' to her account.. how would it affect things? - will she suddenly have the power of the gods!!??

Not talking about 'domain admin'.. so I believe she couldn't access anything server related by accident??

As said... that's like god mode. Could you not create a new gpo for just her machine? bit overkill perhaps...
