Given the massive progress Sauber has made thanks to the Ferrari assistance (in Alfa Romeo clothing) it would be silly for Leclerc to leave them for anything other than a top team, so they might as well just leave him at Sauber for another year before moving him straight to Ferrari.
I Valterri could just stuff up his braking into turn one tomorrow that would be lovely, just a little love tap to get that red car in front of him pointing in the wrong direction. Ferrari have built a blinder of a car this year, first time since the Turbo-hybrid engines came about that I've really thought Mercedes are truly giving it everything every weekend.
Wa wah. I think for the first time Mercedes are under real pressure and the team is cracking a little.
https://www.planetf1.com/news/marchionne-steps-down-due-to-poor-health/ Marchionne bust his shoulder a few weeks ago, from that to this doesn't sound very good.
Got to say, missing some individuals from the last Quali session the commentary really went up a notch..
Rain dancing apparently works, unless your car is painted red. And that race balances out Austria and Silverstone.
Hamilton has been called to the stewards for his pit lane evacuation. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/44918516 Sad to see Merc call off bottas so quickly, would have been good to see a bit more fighting at the front.
After a race like that they couldn't interfere with the result, especially after they let Vettel more or less get away with ramming last year, any result changing penalties would ave been Ferrari International Assistance.
Doesn't take part in Q3, wins race.. nah thanks anyway F1 Sometimes I'm convinced there's a really badly written b-movie-esque script. I mean it's "the heroes journey" essentially.
Yeah but the last two races he qualified on pole and got punted on the first lap, in the other one he was leading and the engine conked out. I think Chase Carey has a control deck in his office with all different 'random' events he can trigger.
I'd be happy enough with a random event triggering, keeps things interesting enough right? It's more the Formula Lewis show that seems to be on my television in place of this old show I used to tune into Formula One, I think that's what it was anyway, had a few other drivers that were quite good in it too... Take nothing away from the guy etc etc but as far as commentary goes in particular, please, for the love of god give my ears a break from the name at least. Let the storm begin -->
Indeed. The Hamilton haters do love a BBC HYS section, and they're not ones to let minor things like facts or irony get in the way of their vitriolic venting.
