I managed 38s today after some insane idea to see how far I could push the chip...

I was so unstable that trying to get a screengrab resulted in explorer crashing, and the whole PC becoming very unresponsive...

first time it didn't save it as the fastest time I'd recorded, second attempt it did :D

if only I could get it to screengrab, I'll have another go later at screengrabbing. :D

    It was at 2660Mhz (213x12.5) 2.2v :eeek:

does anyone have a high end P-M to have a crack at it?

my 1.4 get a rather nippy (for a 1.4) 50 sec, I would be interested to see what a 1.7GHz Pentium-M could do

Just a few questions for AMD what processor is Orion?

also what hardware does this Super-PI program really stress..my guess is CPU and memory...?

it's a test of CPU speed and memory speed, the tighter your memory timings, the faster it'll run.

Pentium M is part of the Centrino platform yes, it's the processing part of the technology, but it's not a centrino without the Intel 855 Chipset & the Intel Pro/Wireless 2100 WiFi Connection :)

The Orion was a slot A processor ( big mofo cartridge style :D )

    you cant make it higher
    pentium 4s are multiplier locked
the only way to overclock it is to increse the fsb
mind you that cpu you have there wil go a hell of alot higher than it is at, this is mine...

that is with a 5:4 divider, i normally run it at 3.3GHz 1:1

i doubt many people here have them because for 1/10th the cost you can overclock a 2500+ to preform on par with an FX51

doesnt really mak a lot of sense if you ask me

is that a dual or single xeon you have there?

I think the score would of been a lot better if it was a dual.
