Half Life 3 confirmed!

 

Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't call it the EV4, to carry on the running joke

 

Because it's got so bad they've stopped caring about not caring about HL3.

The sad thing is, Valve has so much money they could actually just pay another studio to finish the Half Life saga and then give it away for free. I'm sure they're getting kicks out of not making a damn game.

 

@Guinevere - Also, the sad thing is that a whole, new generation of gamers have grown up since its release with no idea what an achievement Half-life 2 was (or even who Gordan Freeman is).

They don't know it was was one of the first games available through Steam (and helped popularise the platform) - that two episodes followed - then nothing for 11 years (and counting). Which just leaves us older gamers to carry on the gentle ribbing, and trolling of Valve about this (until we all expire, or forget, probably).
