I like how you have "ramped" the air flow. Very good idea that !

Wow it's beautiful! I love this lighting effect  (and the white plexiglas structure is beautiful even when is not lighted!)

Cheers mate tyvm:thumb: kinda stole the idea.... off myself :p

Tyvm mate :) You know i admire your work so coming from yourself it's very humbling :thumb:

Got a nice little package in the mail today as you can see by the newly populated wall :) enuf RGB for more than one pc :)

The best part is this now allows me to really get things moving along.

This whole mod really is based around those 140mm LL's and now it's Air cooled a big change in direction..... Air flow direction!

The first thing thing was to ditch those butt ugly orange fans and have a gander @ how the new Corsairs will look..

And i gotta say it's given me wood!

    Time to mod.

Remember those old old retro cases that used to have a duct port from the side of the case that never really aligned up with anything inside.....?

Im'a make once of those :) but this one will align up and will help with air flow.

It starts with some 130mm frosted plex tube and a ruff cut out of 8mm plex.

    Next is some geometry......

Next some ruff cutting and gluing

The messy overhang is clean off with the flush trim

And we have something that's really hard to photograph......

That really hard to photograph thing is screwed to the back panel

That's ruff cut and once again flush trimmed.

And a round over bit is used to give the outer edge a nice rounded exit hole.

With the change to air cooling a new top panel is made ,

Your prolly thinking "ok enuf with the ruff cut pics".... but i gotta pad this log some how :)

And presto ! magik and ive added some sexy edges.

And the new box can be glued togther :)

And a couple of Moody light shots!!!!

I suppose i best show the flow!

I'll leave the back open for now as not to impede flow in any way... The slightly over size 130mm port still uses the same bolt pattern as a standard 120 fan so if down the track i decide to go back to water i can swap the port with a fan.

Well... I can assure you that the feeling is mutual!
I mainly remember very well two dream mods from the period in which I discovered the modding (it was around 2004)... as I said before one was Orac3, but the other was this  :

I know I'm a bit too late, but congratulations! At the time this mod made me dream

WOW! that was from a different modding time and community :) but funnily a very similar concept air flow wise to this current mod. Cheers again mate :thumb: Did you ever manage to see any of Alonso Bistro's :hip: Works of art?
There's a hand full of names i'll always remember and his will be one :)

I'll start a thread just for all the tail lights over in the modding section :thumb:

Love the case. I haven't seen CPU cooler with ducted exhausts in a while. Always thought they were a good idea.

Aside: Your work shop is crazy awesome.

Woot! finally making progress with this thing.... i'm hoping can put this mod to bed tomorrow and get on with my new speakers :D

Anyways with a bit more cutting and gluing the outer blades are done and dusted 9 in total.

Those stickers really erk me... im thinking some old skool defyant style turbines....

I'm still deciding weather i want to go with smoked windows or clear plex.... I like the contrast but really wanted to be able to see in and through easy.

Love it. I realize now you could seat colored panels over the inset areas too.

    Cheers mate tyvm :D

Cheers Cheaps it's more of a blank canvas then i imagined :)

Still aways to go unfortunately , but getting there! today i managed to get the hardware in and sorted , stuck in a sneaky power button and actually get it to fire up :)

A small hole at the front underside between the blades and glued in a micro switch. This will be prefect as it wont blemish the front and it will be easy to push when sitting high up.

The mix of acrylic and RGB looks really nice.

You gotta get rid of that old grey power cable though!

Today i pondered for a bit on how i was going to attach the side window panels.... This is what i came up with

It starts out with to massive chunks of clear plex.... both are profiled to be exact copies.

    some sexy edging work.

The pc is layed on it's side

Well, 'massive' plexi in my head starts at 20mm, but that panel is perfect. :D
You made me realize I could get a much deeper bevel routing than I can get with my mill.
