    Hi all

    I was looking at a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

    I have a 10-18, 18-55, 55-250 and 55-300 also a 85mm, 40mm, 50mm and 100mm macro all canons

    Also 18-270 tamron 55-300 sigma

    With a 1200D and 750D

As i wanted less lenss to carry would it be a good buy i can get it for £350 with hood and filter new from mh direct

Have done 3 weddings for family and just some nature but not that much and no pro lol

Well as seen as no one with more knowledge has replied I'll give you my thoughts.

I have that very lens with my EOS 80D and it is the lens that I take 95% (possibly more) of my pictures with, the only other lens that I even have in my camera bag at the moment is a 50mm / 1.8 for portraits etc.

I should point out that its purely for recreational use, I don't even consider myself a hobby photographer but I'm very happy with the performance of the lens.

That looks like a really nice lens. How would it compare to my Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens?

I have a few older lenses with the standard USM motor and I'd say the nano is quicker and much quieter.

Why not sell some of your lenses and invest in someting like a f2.8 24-70 and f2.8 70-200. With only two lenses you have a great range.
Also Canon has a f4 70-200 which is not that expensive. You can also have a look for Tamron or Sigma for both.
Shooting with a f2.8 70-200 nikon myself on a very old Nikon D3 I can say the quality of the pictures is just so much better then on other cheaper "zoom" lenses.
Better investing in good glass so you have them when switching bodies.
