Hello, I just show an idea that i just mod "Phanteks evolv shift" by put my cheap 2x mini itx in that case. Case :: - 1x Phanteks evolv shift Specification :: - 3x PSU server 1U (FSP460-701UH) (** 2x PSU for 2x mini itx but 1x extra for GPU if it need more power **) - 2x mini Itx (Gigabyte F2A88XN-WIFI) - 1x GPU (XFX RX470 Single fan) (** But with this mod the case will support 2x GPU in 1 case) - 2x SSD Cost :: - 1x Case Phanteks evolv shift ($100) - 3x PSU ($10 each = $30) - 1x mini itx board (1x from my old PC) ($60 new from dead stock) - 2x Ram 4GB (1x from my old PC) (30$ buy from used store) - 1x CPU AMD A6 7400K ($10 buy from used store) - 1x XFX RX470 ($110 buy from used) - 1x PCI Riser 40cm ($30 new) - 2x Angle aluminum 472mm (3$ remainder from aluminum windows shop) - 1x Angle aluminum 1000mm (got it free from my friend) - 1x Spray print (black) ($2) Total cost = $375 ** other parts from my old PC ** Start ::
Drill and insert standoff at the opposite side of MB After finished insert standoff for 2nd MB then do the GPU mounting
Next , just need to cut the frame of case for put the PSU in the case and the 2nd GPU mounting. cut an angle aluminum for mounting PSU and mounting PCI Riser. cut the frame for pci riser mounting then drill the case to mounting an aluminum Spray paint an aluminum parts
Because the 2nd GPU it mount at the front panel of the case , so i need to extend the space of front panel about 30mm but i got the remainder angle aluminum from windows shop and it size 38mm , it ok with this size then i decide to used it as it is. after finished measure and drill the case then just do spray paint an aluminum. The front panel extension , do cut an aluminum as it shape like picture.
After finished measure and drill an extension aluminum then do spray paint. Use glue tape for glue it with front panel.
90% done , then move my old pc to new case. ** I decide to use only 1 gpu (trade my old gpu to buy this xfx rx470) **
