Case Mod - Complete Thermaltake Modding Trophy 2018 - Project #Neon 20

Good evening all

I cant belive i was one of the 5 competitors I selected in this years Thermlatake UK modding Trophy 2018 I am very new to the modding game and look forward to the challanges ahead and my build along with everyone else's builds.

Project ''Neon''


I am going for a silver & black laser holographic look with led lit acrylic panels
The bottom half of the case will be a custom made water wall feature.

The kit so far

 

Cutting new base ready for vinyl wrapping tomorrow

 

Any case mod that starts on a real work bench ( or a truck tray) with a grinder is my kinda mod

 

Now time to test out this holographic chrome wrap

 

Additional parts have arrived

 

That wrap isn't quiet sticking proper... could you get the parts proper plastic chrome plated? stick on vinyl on case mods comes off looking a bit cheap.

 

Don't think he has that much time. Aluminum truck profiles? Google shopping search, GO.

 

Thanks for advise guys much appreciated, due to your comments I done some investigating and realized I had not removed the protective film from the holo wrap , normal wrap does not have this.

Now it's been re wrapped with protective film off looks 10 times better.

 

I think it's stuck OK. It's some sort of spectralusion or whatever they call it. I quite like it actually, but then I would being a huge hot rod/ Big Daddy Roth fan.

 

Seriously, I don't know how Def saw anything wrong. I can't squint hard enough to see anything off in the pics. All I see is jpeg artifacts.

Very 'Back To The Future' future-retro.

 

Bit of painting in the old garage with some mirror effect silver paint , not a bad match to the holographic pillars

 

Not a bad finish now to wrap the motherboard M.2 covers to match the Asus holographic south bridge chip set

 

time to get this RTX2080 naked
